Frequently Asked Questions
I am unsure where to invest. What can I do?
You should have recently received the March edition of our Viewpoint magazine. You may be interested in our EASY ISA's on pages 6 and 7 or the Chelsea Core Selection on pages 12-17. Alternatively, you could use the Cash Reserve to utilise this year's allowance and make your fund selection at a later date. Chelsea make no charge for switching into a fund from the Cash Reserve fund.
How do I invest?
-
By Post. Simply download the application form found on this page http://www.chelseafs.co.uk/literature. Please make your cheque payable to 'Cofunds Ltd'.
-
Online. www.chelseafs.co.uk
-
By telephone using your debit card. Simply call us on 020 7384 7300.
How do I gain access to my online account?
Firstly, you need to register on the Chelsea website. Once this is completed, existing Cofunds investors usually have their account activated within two days. If this is not the case, please email info@chelseafs.co.uk or call 020 7384 7300 and we will manually activate your account.
If you do not have an existing Cofunds account, one will be automatically created once an investment has been made on the Cofunds Platform. Your account should then be activated within two days. If this is not the case, please see above for details on how to activate your account.
How do I transfer my ISA from my current provider via Chelsea Financial Services?
You will need to complete an ISA Transfer Application Form. This can be found:
-
On the website: http://www.cofunds.co.uk/docs/22952CHETransfer.pdf.
Alternatively the form can be found inside our Viewpoint magazine -
By telephone order: 020 7384 7300 (or 24hr freephone brochure line - 0800 071 3333)
-
By email request: info@chelseafs.co.uk
Once we have received the form we will do all the hard work for you. You will receive notification through the post once the transfer is successful.
If you do not have access to either the magazine or our website, a member of our team would be more than willing to send an application form to you, just call 020 7384 7300.
How do I withdraw my funds?
You can complete a withdrawal instruction form, which is found on the website here: http://www.chelseafs.co.uk/documents/Withdrawal.pdf
Or write a letter to:
Chelsea Financial Services
St James Hall,
Moore Park Road,
London,
SW6 2JS
How long does it take to receive my withdrawal money after I request it?
It can take up to eight working days for the withdrawal amount to appear in your bank account (or the delivery of a cheque).
This is because Cofunds/Fund Manager needs to settle your account, sell the investment and transfer the proceeds to the nominated bank account (or send a cheque). This means that, although the 'Sale' may appear to have been completed, the proceeds may only arrive in your account a few days later. Unfortunately the process takes time, therefore please allow adequate timing if the cash is needed by a certain date.
I have invested in an ISA, why can't I see it on my account yet?
An investment usually takes around 24hrs to appear on your account.

Complete an Investment Fund to ISA Application Form. You can find the link here: http://www.chelseafs.co.uk/documents/22952CHEUTtoISAApp.pdf
Please be aware the investment will need to be sold and re-bought back within the ISA Wrapper. This means that you will be 'out of the market' whilst this is completed.
I have changed my address - what do I need to do?
You will need to notify us in writing of your new address. This can be done by emailing info@chelseafs.co.uk or sending a letter in the post to:-

Moore Park Road,
London,

If you have an online account please also update your address next time you log in.
How do I start receiving income from my portfolio?
Firstly, you need 'Income units' to start receiving income from your investments. If your portfolio consists of Accumulation units then they can be converted by sending in a written instruction to us. A request to pay out all future income can be made in the same instruction as well. Please note that income can be paid out either from all the funds within the product (ie ISA, Investment Fund) or from none of them. You cannot have income paid out from some funds and not from others.
How do I set up a monthly savings plan?
In all cases a direct debit mandate needs to be completed and sent to Chelsea Financial Services. This can be found in our latest Viewpoint magazine, or you can download an ISA or Investment Fund application form from our website which contain the Direct Debit mandate. Alternatively, the form can be partially completed by using the 'Invest Online' tool on our website (providing you own a printer) or by completing the form by hand. If you do not have an application form we would be more than happy to send you one in the post, complete with a pre-paid envelope.
How do I consolidate my investments?
The best way to consolidate your investments is by completing a re-registration form. This can be found on our website here: http://www.chelseafs.co.uk/documents/Re-registrationForm.pdf
Alternatively the form can be found inside our Viewpoint Magazine. If you do not have access to either, a member of our team would be more than willing to send one out to you: just call 020 7384 7300.
