Testimonials and case study

Alison Osmani, Watford “I recently transferred several different pension pots into one more lucrative fund with the tremendous help of Chelsea Financial. They made it incredibly easy, explaining everything in simple terms for me and completing all the necessary paperwork with absolutely no fuss! And my pension fund with Chelsea has been doing considerably better ever since swapping over! What's not to like?! Huge gratitude.”

Martin Zaman, Middlesex “I've been using Chelsea Financial Services happily for many years for my, and my family's, ISA's. Their system to buy and sell funds is very easy to use, and their research is invaluable to select, and de-select, funds. So it was very easy for me to decide to transfer my pension to them. Again, setting up the pension and undertaking the transfer was very easy to do. The only time-consuming element was ensuring the old pension company has the correct documentation in place to initiate the transfer. Here the Chelsea personnel highlighted and helped to ensure all the documentation was correctly completed and submitted to my previous pension company. Resulting in a stress-free, and very professional process”

Judith Coverdale, Essex “I put off transferring my pensions as I thought it was going to be a long, complicated process. I couldn't have been more wrong - it was simple and stress-free and the staff at Chelsea were polite, helpful and kept me fully updated at all times.”

Josh Roberts, Staffordshire “I have had nothing but a positive experience with Chelsea Financial Services. Originally utilising their stocks and shares ISA for my personal savings, their pension platform became a perfect addition to my portfolio and now means I can manage my savings in one easy-to-use location. The perfect option for someone who wants to spread their investments but has a busy life.”

Virginia Kennedy, Bedfordshire “Having had a small pension with another provider just sitting in a pot earning practically nothing for many, many years, l decided to move it over to Chelsea after reading their Viewpoint magazine. Chelsea could not have been any more helpful or friendly. All that was needed was one form to be filled in by me and they did the rest. My money was transferred within a couple of weeks. It is so reassuring to know that they are at the end of a telephone and always willing to help. Highly recommended!!”

Sam Kubunavanua, Surrey
Mrs Kubunavanua has worked for a number of employers and was getting increasingly frustrated with having to monitor the policies, the different charges, different investments and the mountains of paperwork. Her workplace pension is with Old Mutual and she decided to move everything there.

“I tried to transfer everything but it was really hard work. I was told that because it was an occupational scheme, I had to get advice. An adviser wanted to charge me £400. I hold an ISA with Chelsea so when speaking to them about my ISA I mentioned my predicament”.

Many schemes have different rules attached to them. These can be particular to the scheme, or are in place due to nationwide regulation. The regulation regarding workplace schemes state that if you hold a defined benefit scheme that is worth over £30,000, you should first get advice before transferring. This is so you are aware of what you are giving up. You do not have to listen to the advice, but it can be a costly process to just ignore.

“Chelsea were able to transfer my pension, as the scheme they offer allows occupational transfers. They completed the forms for me, and made the whole process really easy. I can now monitor the majority of my pension when looking at my ISA, all in one place.”
