At Chelsea our dedicated team carry out thorough research on all of the most popular unit trusts and OEICs. This process involves meeting the fund manager who will be responsible for managing your money. After this research is complete there are three tiers of selection:
We have compiled four portfolios each based on differing objectives and attitudes to risk. They contain six carefully selected funds apiece and can take the headache out of your investment decision. Invest online or download an application form from our literature page.
Our research team has produced 3 Junior Easy ISA portfolios to help you maximise returns. Given the Lower tax allowance they contain three funds each and can take the headache out of your investment decision. Download an application form from our literature page.
At Chelsea, our dedicated Research team visits over 400 fund managers every year. We combine these meetings with statistical analysis to produce The Chelsea Core Selection. This is a list of our most highly rated funds, broken down into separate investment sectors. Every fund selection comes with a review, full details and our very own Chelsea Risk Rating, indicating the level of risk associated with each fund.
We don't just highlight the top-performing funds for you, we also highlight any funds which we believe have been performing consistently poorly, and which you may wish to switch or transfer. These are detailed in our relegation zone. Should you wish to switch or transfer your funds, you can do so online, or download the forms from our literature page.

BUY – This indicates a generic, not personal, buy recommendation for the fund. Chelsea believes the fund could perform above the sector average and that the fund has been, and will continue to be, managed well by the current fund manager. A buy recommendation is not to be considered as advice on which sector to invest in, nor an indication that funds in that sector are currently performing well.
HOLD – This indicates a generic, not personal, hold recommendation for the fund. Chelsea believes that the fund will continue to perform well under the same management or has recently had a change of fund manager and is under review. If the fund has not been performing well recently, Chelsea Financial Services believes the current fund manager will be able to improve the fund's performance in the coming months.
SWITCH - This indicates a generic, not personal, switch recommendation for the fund. Chelsea believes that the fund will not perform well in the future and that other funds in its sector will perform better. This could be because of consistently poor past performance or because there has been a recent change of fund manager. For a list of alternative funds, please refer to the Chelsea Core Selection or Selection in our Viewpoint magazine.
