New short dated corporate bond fund from Fidelity

1st December 2016 - Fidelity International has launched a new short dated corporate bond fund, run by Sajiv Vaid and Ian Spreadbury.

Fidelity believes the new fund represents an attractive solution for two types of investor:

  1. Those who desire a modestly higher yield and risk profile than that of cash or government bonds, but who consider a conventional corporate bond fund too risky
  2. Those who are looking to reduce their credit and/or interest rate risk.

The fund will invest primarily in sterling-denominated (or hedged back to sterling) investment grade corporate bonds, with a remaining maturity of less than, or equal to, five years.
